Novo Nordisk has been pioneering advancements in women's health care with hormone therapy (HT) worldwide since 1978. In the United States, Novo Nordisk markets two products in the women's hormone therapy (HT) class: Activella® (estradiol/norethindrone acetate) 1.0 mg/0.5 mg tablets, Activella® 0.5 mg/0.1 mg tablets, and Vagifem® 10 mcg (estradiol vaginal tablets).

Activella® 1.0 mg/0.5 mg and Activella® 0.5 mg/0.1 mg are FDA-approved oral continuous combined hormone therapies (HTs) that have an estrogen chemically identical to the estrogen produced by a woman's body.1,2

Vagifem® 10 mcg was statistically superior to placebo in reducing a composite score of most bothersome vaginal symptoms associated with atrophic vaginitis,3 and is the lowest dose* of local vaginal estrogen commercially available.
